Responsible Dog Ownership Now A Law in California

Finally, responsible dog ownership has become a law all over the state of California (not just in selected cities). Senate Bill 250 (also known as the Pet Responsibility Act) has been approved by the California state Senate on a 21-16 vote. And it requires that adult pets (cats & dogs) be spayed or neutered. If you want to keep your dog or outdoor cat “au naturel,” you must obtain a permit.

Ironically the bill got it’s number because the state spends $250 million a year to house & eventually euthanize unwanted pets.

Hero Dog Being Debunked

The story of Hoagie the hero dog who saved his owners from a mountain lion attack in the Santa Ana Mountains in Orange County, California last week is a “tall tale” according to wildlife specialists. Hoagie is now being blamed for the attack! Wildlife specialists say Hoagie more than likely started the fight, probably by chasing the big cat. And the cat turned on Hoagie & attacked him. Because of that theory, they will not search for & destroy the mountain lion.
