A Bull Mastiff named Henry, who was the “star pupil” of a dog training TV show in West Bromwich, England lost that distinction when he savagely attacked a dachshund named Bruno.
Henry was being filmed for a follow up to his success on the BBC “Three show Dog Borstal.” Henry saw Bruno in the audience, grabbed him by the neck and shook him like a ragdoll. Bruno had to have 16 stitches for the deep gashes that were inflicted.
The crew managed to fend off Henry and his owner, Karen Reid was ordered to pay £250 compensation and keep her dog muzzled in public.
Speaking of Mastiffs…
A man bit off more than he could chew when he tried to steal 2 Thibetan mastiffs in Tianjin, China after he found out that they were very valuable. Tibetan mastiffs are considered one of the oldest, rarest and fiercest dog breeds and were first tamed by humans 6,000 years ago.
The man tried to lure the 2 dogs with meat - which they ignored. They had him cornered in their backyard for 4 hours before the dog’s owner found the man cowering up against a brick wall.
Anyone who knows what a Mastiff is knows that they are huge dogs! How he expected to carry out two dogs that may’ve outweighed him is beyond me. He’s lucky the dog’s didn’t tear him apart!
