A West Virginia man whose small boat capsized while he was fishing with his black spaniel mix Lacy, refused to leave his dog. So he stayed next to the boat treading water in his lifejacket waiting for rescue.
The dog was so important to him because he and his wife lost both their children in a car accident, so Lacy was essentially their only “child.” That’s love for you.
